As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I was never sure what I wanted to be when I grew up. I had many interests and I knew I wanted to go to college, I just didn’t know what I wanted to study when I got there. Unfortunately, I never wanted to be any of the things I ended up doing for most of my adult life. I did always enjoy writing and wish I had pursued it seriously at an earlier stage. The important thing is I’m doing it now. J
Tell us about your latest book.
My most recent release is Mia’s Cop Craving 2. It is a sequel. Mia is a woman who has secret fantasies about police officers. In the first book, she meets and becomes involved with a wonderfully sexy cop. The sequel is a ménage book (MFM).
Do you have anything new in the works and can you tell us a bit about it?
I am currently working on an erotic steampunk novella entitled Clockwork Caning. It is set in Victorian England. The main characters are a newly married husband and wife. The husband is a gentleman inventor. His lovely wife is unaware of some of his tastes until after the wedding. In addition, some of his inventions are rather unusual. I’m still fleshing out the details.
Is there anything you find particularly challenging about writing?
With a newborn, I’m finding it very challenging to find the time. In addition, it is sometimes hard to focus with so much chaos in my home. Luckily, my husband has been home a bit more of late and has been helping me carve out some more time to devote to writing.
What advice would you give to writers just starting out?
Just do it. Not to be cliché but that’s it. You must put words on the page. Get your rough draft down and then edit it to the best of your own ability. Then have others look at it, both beta readers and a real editor. Even the best writer needs other eyes to help out.
Do you ever suffer from writer’s block? If so, what do you do about it?
I do! Sometimes I try to switch to another project. If I really can’t settle down, I focus on some promotion for a while and try to come back.
What tools do you feel are must-haves for writers?
Well, really all you need is a pencil and paper if you want to go bare bones. However, most of us work by computer
and you need this for professional submissions and creating ebooks. For me, I’ve been utilizing voice recognition software to try to help me increase my productivity. I think it is working, but there is a learning curve.
Where do you as an author draw the line on gory descriptions and/or erotic content?
I want to get my point across without triggering any squeamishness. I do write some BDSM stories but most consider them “light’ BDSM. I don’t reference blood or serious physical injury. For me, that isn’t sexy and I think that would be conveyed to the reader.

Excerpt from Mia’s Cop Craving 2
After Rogan unlocked the door, both men stepped aside to allow Mia to enter first. A feeling of empowerment swept over her. This was something she’d wanted a long time, wanted more than she realized. Now it was happening. On her terms.
Rogan spoke first. “Mia, would you like to shower?”
“Yes.” She unbuttoned her shirt, slowly one button at a time, and let the garment drop to the floor. As she headed down the hallway, she dropped the rest of her clothing, leaving a trail for them to follow.
Both men got into the spirit of the moment and quickly followed Mia’s example. Rogan and Jeff entered the bathroom where Mia had already turned on the taps. Hot steam billowed out of the shower. Mia peered around the edge of the glass, the tips of her hair curling from the moisture. She flashed an inviting smile and disappeared back inside.
Rogan quickly stripped off his remaining clothes, leaving them in a heap on the bathroom floor. He stepped into the tiled shower and disappeared into the steamy mist, leaving Jeff to contemplate his options.
