The galactic paradise of Maion is destroyed when vengeful goddess, Feily goes on a killing rampage of all of Kiale descent. On the verge of extinction, an unexpected savior gives the last three Kiale a fighting chance by sending them to alien planet, Earth.

1200 years later, eldest of the trio, Ralden Kiale finds his soul mate in dream walker, Zoey McKenna. Self-professed geek, Zoey has been shunned by family and friends with no understanding of her gift and believes without a doubt that love is no more than an illusion. With the looks of an angel and the appetite of a vampire, Ralden aims to shatter the stubborn wall surrounding this fierce heroine’s heart.

When Zoey’s life is threatened, will she finally throw caution to the wind and let this out of this world hero sweep her off her feet? Will she finally find her fairy tale ending?

Review:

‘Kiale’s Dream is the first in the Kiale Sons series.  Ms. Nacomy Blue has created a whole new race of people who inhibited the planet Maion.  Unfortunately only three remained alive when their Gods turned on each other and went on a killing spree. The three remaining Kiale men were brought to safety on our Earth, where they live among other humans. One day the eldest of the three felt his life mate, and since then he has been watching her, waiting for her to age and open up to him. Only that would prove to be quite a challenge as his intended mate, Zoey, had a low self-esteem and didn’t believe in love.

I have to say that I quite enjoyed this story, with its unique gods and species (even though there are only three of them left). The Kiale men do resemble vampires, in the way of drinking blood and that they have fangs, only these men have beautiful wings and their behavior is very different as well.

In the beginning of the story I stumbled upon a few grammar mishaps, which made it a bit difficult for me to get into the story.  But once you get past that the story blooms before your eyes. I loved the fun characters, Zoey and Ralden  were truly perfect for each other. Even though Ralden had to work to get his woman. Zoey had hardened her heart after so many heartache and harsh words from people around her. This lead to her not believing in love and forming thoughts of her not being good enough for anyone, especially Ralden. She was certain that he would eventually have his fill of her and move on. Leaving her broken and alone and she’s trying to prevent that by putting up a cold front. And Ralden slowly worked his way around that front and got her out of her shell. Even when she lashed out at him he didn’t give up on her. He gave her enough space to put things into perspective, even though it mostly leads to Zoey retreating in her shell and trying to shut him out. He was patience, supporting and just what Zoey needed.

What I also liked were the little peeks into the gods, Feilly and Gion, lives. The gods were the Kiale people started and ended with. Them arguing, hurting and doing naughty together. I was glad to read the two were banished to reconcile, unlike myths were things ended with rage and revenge. Here things were sorted out. What can I say I love HEA’s.

I really enjoyed reading Kiale dreams, it was fun sexy and sad and suspenseful at times.  The different world and species that were created could have easily been a real myth. We met Ralden’s brothers who were just as hot and fun, and that got me very curious and anxious for the further installments in this series.

Jackson Holt wants to surprise his girlfriend, Meredith with the wedding of her dreams, but a jealous co-worker is bent on keeping the lovebirds apart.

Meredith Baxter is overjoyed at the prospect of a Christmas Eve wedding. When the groom goes missing just moments before the ceremony, she’s left to wonder if it’s a case of cold feet or something much more sinister.

Review:

“Mistletoe Blues” was a nice short read, starting off with Jackson and Meredith reuniting after being apart for three months. Due to meddling from a certain jealous person.  And it starts of great, misunderstandings are being cleared up, a romantic vibe floats in the air and soon a wedding proposal follows. But just as they thought things were going right, something happens and Meredith’s trust is put to the test once again.

Jackson and Meredith made such a cute couple, and I was very happy to read that they had overcome the meddling and found out the truth about what had happened.  But I would have liked to see this short story into a novel. That would have given more attention to the events that have happened prior to them reuniting and events that were to happen further into the story.  As now I have the feeling that I’ve read a summary of the actual story, everything happened so fast, that it was over before I knew it, while I actually wanted to read more. More details, more romantic scenes (maybe naughty scenes). I think it could have been so much more.

Ty Wallace loves his life. How could he not? He’s a powerful human lawyer by day and the Magic Council’s rogue witch hunter by night. But after he agrees to substitute on his secretary’s dart team, all hell breaks loose. Now Ty has to help Parris admit who she is before her long-lost relatives kill her.

Review:

A Member of the Council is a super fun read, it is fast paced but is actually quite easy to follow. It would have to seeing the events that take place. The story also brings you lovely vibrant characters, both main as background characters. I especially I loved Ty and Parris and they make such a lovely  couple.  And although it’s his job as a witch hunter , Ty doesn’t want to hurt Parris in any way and would make sure no one else would do so either.

Some unexpected twists and turns heightened the suspense level and totally caught me of guard at one point. I ’m not going to spoil too much, you’ll have to discover how good it is on your own ;) It’s definitely worth the read and won’t leave you disappointed if you love paranormal romances as much as I do.

Lulu and Hotsuma should be enjoying a happy married life but trouble continues to follow them. Masato is back and his reappearance puts Hotsuma in danger again. In exchange for his silence about his return, Masato makes an indecent proposal Lulu cannot help but accept. To make matters worse, someone else has found out about Hotsuma’s powers and is willing to end those powers, and possibly Hotsuma with them, if Lulu doesn’t meet his demands. She’s in over her head and the water is steadily rising. Luck and love won’t solve the problem this time, but maybe help from an unlikely option will.

Review:

“Overflow” is the sequel to “Undercurrent”  and I would advise to read the other first before reading this book.

Lulu and Hotsuma story continue but things quickly spiral out of control. Lulu’s control to be exact. Lulu is being blackmailed by not one but two men.  But both threats will hurt Hotsuma very badly. Lulu is thorn about what she should do, she wants to tell Hotsuma everything but isn’t sure how he will react and even if she can muster up the courage to do so, one of her blackmailers will enlighten the Mizuno family about his existence.  Which would jeopardize Hotsuma’s life.  It’s easy to say Lulu has to make some decisions and fast.

“Overflow” is a really great read, there isn’t a huge time gap between the two books and no other major event, other than Lulu and Hotsuma’s marriage, happened either.  What also is a big plus in this book is that problems weren’t magically solved. Hotsuma’s family still has problems with Lulu  and they don’t stop using “the luck factor”. Nor did Hotsuma and Lulu pretend everything is alright.  And the biggest problem of all is that Masato isn’t dormant at as they had thought,  a matter of fact he was secretly practicing how to control water just like Hotsuma use to do. And I can say he quite succeeded with his training.

I don’t know how Ms. Renquist did it but unlike in “Undercurrent” I found Masato quite  *cough* interesting……okay he was hot and so much more fun than in “Undercurrent”. I got to see another side of him, in this book he was more mischievous (still controlling) than mean and didn’t try to kill Hotsuma and Lulu.  I was really looking forward to reading “Overflow” and I must say it didn’t disappoint, I would have loved to see more Lulu and Hotsuma scenes without Masato butting in. But it was well worth the read.

Who knew that traveling first class could be so…well…enlightening, Reilly Greene thought. She watched her old teenage crush now fully grown, lick his fingers and shifted in her seat. Who the hell was she kidding, traveling anywhere anyhow with Ben Skye was enough to make her weak at the knees and a few other places in-between.

Ben Skye thought the possibility of having a heart attack at 33,000 feet in the air just might not be a bad way to go, if Reilly was the one giving it to him. But could he convince her that once their feet hit the ground he could still take her to the heavens and this time it would be for the rest of their lives.

Review:

Reilly was on her way to her best friend’s wedding when she meets an old crush of her: Ben Skye. She was supposed to give him a call when she turned the legal age of 18, she did however he never picked up.  And now years later they meet again and sparks still fly. But will they act upon these intense feelings?

Skye High is a short, fast paced sexy story. Though I really liked the sexy scenes in the plane,  things progressed too quickly. The two meet in the plane, make small talk clear up misunderstandings and they get intimate with each other right away.  And from there on it’s a sequence of sexy scenes with a few breaks.  If you’re looking for an emotional story how the two patch things up, you’re at the wrong address. Don’t get me wrong Reilly and Ben do some patching up, in a very sexual way. No emotional stuff and teary eyes. But if you’re looking for a short and sexy read with no emotional baggage and grudges this is the story for you.

Werewolf investigator Raul Silva has always followed orders, but the latest might be one too many. Can he really resist his target’s hot ex-wife?

After a devastating encounter with an illegally shifted werewolf, a wounded Raul Silva slumps on Chandra Williams’s doorstep, begging for refuge. As an investigator for the legalistic Werewolf Council, Raul’s been sent to look into instability in the local pack. Chandra’s presence makes him want to succeed at his mission for personal — not professional — reasons.

The Werewolf Council disapproves. Chandra is strictly off-limits for Raul according to both the traditions and laws of the werewolves. But after a life devoted to upholding principles, Raul’s instincts and desires are boiling to the surface. Can Raul resist Chandra, or will he break with everything he stands for to pursue a woman who is not his territory?

Review:

Chandra had just finished locking up her house when she heard someone persistently ringing her doorbell, afraid it was her ex husband she reluctantly went to the door. But she’s stunned when she found not her ex husband but an injured man, Raul, who was seeking refuge. Chandra couldn’t leave him out there on her porch, bleeding to death. She took him in and with much effort did she succeed in getting him on the couch. After he had assured her that he would be fine next morning, Chandra went to bed.  Next morning she saw that he had indeed recovered completely, not a single scratch was traceable on his fine body. This of course raised questions in Chandra’s head, questions she would definitely wanted answers to.  But she wouldn’t like the answers Raul had for her, especially not when her ex husband came into the picture.

‘Not His Territory’ was a nice short read and the beginning of the story immediately had my attention, but at the middle I found that the pace increased, which was not in the benefit of the story. Although it was a short read I felt awful for Chandra, her fear was reflected in all the locks she had installed and the double checking, if she really locked all the doors and windows. It would break anyone apart to live in constant fear like that. When Raul came to her house she felt safer and less alone, lucky for her because it was like Raul was the only one that seemed to care about her. And I loved his protective nature that came to surface when he heard what she was going through.

In comparison to the main characters I disliked the villains. And under villains I count the ex husband and the head of the council Gabriel. The ex is despicable stalking and claiming Chandra, scaring the crap out of her. And Gabriel who is only concerned with following the rules, furthermore it sounded like Gabriel couldn’t care less that Raul could have died out there without extra help. I would love to see him in his own story in Raul shoes, make him suffer a bit too, ‘insert evil laugh’

Lulu was sent to spy on the competition so she could find out the secret of their success. Her search turns up Hotsuma, a man bound to water so he can use his power to bring good luck to those who imprisoned him.

Working to set him free ignites a passion in Lulu only Hotsuma can quench, but they can’t afford to let sex, no matter how good, distract them. Hotsuma’s captors aren’t about to let Lulu leave with their property, and they’re willing to use deadly force to stop her. They’ll need more than luck for their new love to survive.

Review:

‘Undercurrent’  is the third book in the ‘Wet’ series. But the titles in the ‘Wet’ series can be read as standalones.

While Lulu is spying on the competition, which is disguised in the form of a vacation, she accidently stumbles on a secret hallway that apparently none of the other guest can see.  All her efforts to forget about the hallway end with frustration, she can’t seem to get it out of her mind. The next day she heads back to take a closer look , but waits for the right opportunity.  At the end of the secret hallway there is a door, but when she opens the door she’s quite disappointed. At first glance the room is almost empty except for  a small pool in the middle.

Her disappointment quickly fades away when she hears footsteps heading to the room she’s in. Seeing no other way she hides into the pool. But the pool was home to a slumbering water spirit, Hotsuma,  and upon entering it Lulu unconsciously awakens him.  This sets a dangerous situation in motion, where Hotsuma needs Lulu to set him free without arousing suspicion and get the heck out of there alive. But that won’t be as easy as both originally had imagined.

I loved Hotsuma’s and Lulu’s story it was interesting, sexy and original with a dash of suspense. The main characters’ background history is explained throughout the book, learning about Hotsuma’s history is so sad, that his own family would put him through so much heartache.  All for some luck, bunch of greedy people. And even though Hotsuma’s family, past and current generations, has caused him and Lulu so much trouble and pain the two don’t go over dead bodies.

There is only one thing that has left me curious; prior to Hotsuma becoming a ‘water spirit’ he had a wife and children. It’s is stated that his wife had married him for prestige but what about his children? How was the bond between them, why did they eventually stop visiting and praying to him? Nonetheless have I enjoyed reading ‘Undercurrent’ and I’m looking forward to reading the next installment in this series, as Hotsuma and Lulu’s story will continue.

There’s one name that has Agent Nala Dekker reaching for the gun holstered to her leg—Tantum Maddox, the one name her partner said before he died in her arms. After three years of searching for the faceless Tantum Maddox, his name has finally surfaced. Nala jumps on the first plane to Boston in chase of her long-awaited revenge. But instead of taking Tantum in for his crime or shooting him—in self-defense, of course—Nala nearly ends up in bed with the killer. So, it probably would’ve been a good idea to find out what her Target looked like before she went after him.

Agent Tantum Maddox has completed his assignment in Mexico… and now it’s time for his revenge. When Tantum finds a mysterious woman in his arms, and after he discovers exactly who she is—his Target—he must decide what to do with the gun concealed beneath her dress. Should he use it on her and kill her? Or spare her life and take her captive until he finds the answers he’s been looking for?

Somehow Nala’s innocence comes into question by the dangerously sexy Tantum Maddox and he accuses her of being a cold blooded killer. But why is Nala the one on trial, for Tantum’s the one who killed her partner—isn’t he? In this torrid twist of betrayal and seduction, will Tantum and Nala resist killing each other? Or worse, when the truth unfolds, will love become the only threat to their vindictive hearts?

Review:

The story is about two secret agents who meet while they are in disguise and have this instant chemistry. Unknowingly they are each other’s targets. But when they do find out about each other’s true identity the true game begins, unknowingly someone had set them up and will do anything to get the agents to destroy one another. Prepare yourself for surprising twists and turns, not to mention the sizzling chemistry between Nala and Tantum.

“The Risqué Target” is a very exciting and intriguing book, I intentionally tried to prolong my reading by taking pauses so now and then. But I failed in doing so, the story kept pulling me back and in the end I caved and read it in one go. I loved both main characters, Nala was such a strong woman with a little OCD problem, but just as any other woman she has moments of insecurity. Which were a few moments too many for my taste but every woman is entitled to them right? And then we have Tantum, totally sexy alpha male, possessive, bad ass and a bit of a control freak. What I really liked about them was that even though finding out about each other’s true identity the chemistry didn’t die, I’ll tell you the more they tried to fight their feeling the more intense and sexy it got.

The Risqué Target takes you on a suspenseful ride of two agents caught up in a evil mastermind’s plan to hunt each other down. They will have to make choices and sacrifices but where will these lead them? Further apart or will they be brought together and have their HEA? Read to find out, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Life isn’t going well for Vivica Breckenridge. Recently relocated to Last Chance, Alaska, she expects things to be a little squiggy for a while as she acclimates to a whole new place, with new people and new ways of doing things. But she has no idea how squiggy they’re going to get. Until she wakes up one morning with fur over only part of her body. Things can’t get much weirder than that!

Review:

One morning Vivica woke up in her fox form, which completely freaked her out. She didn’t understand what happened and keeps the furry incident to herself. Not knowing that most residence in Last Chance have that same special ability.

Apart from her fuzzy incident something else came on her path, or should I say someone else. That someone is Dr. Cary Reigns, whom she didn’t expect to meet seeing she didn’t want to deal with love and commitment. Still Vivica felt drawn to him and slowly she began to rethink her earlier conceptions of love and commitment. Not only that she also discovered through Dr. Cary Reigns what she is and what he is and came to term with her foxy side. But her shifting didn’t go very smoothly, she had only shifted partially. And she’s not the only one.

Dr. Cary Reign had encountered this phenomenon before in his previous town. And those patients didn’t survive it. He was once again put to the test to find out what was causing the partially shifted state of the shifters. And safe his new found love.

I enjoyed reading “Splintered”, but the events that happened were pretty predictable, which spoiled the fun a little for me. Also I more often read about alpha males, and ehm Dr. Reigns was no alpha. Nevertheless he was sweet and strong when Vivica was in a rough patch and the chemistry between the two was very sweet and passionate.

One thing that stood out for me in this story was that Dr. Cary Reign was a deer shifter, I haven’t read a book about those kind of shifters before and loved the uniqueness of it. All in all it was an enjoyable read, if you’re looking for a quick one that has a little bit of everything, love, humor, steamy romance and a little bit of mystery.

Can these two Shadow Wolves find a balance before Leiah’s beloved pack is torn apart?

Review:

Rikker spotted Leiah and immediately knew she was his mate. But the condition in which he found her and her pack wasn’t ideal. They were in grave danger and the only one fighting to protecting the pack was his mate to be, Leiah. Rikker decides to help Leiah and when the danger is eliminated he will take her with him. As in his eyes (as well as mine) the pack doesn’t deserve her. But Leiah feels otherwise and is determined to stay with her pack to keep protecting them. This puts Rikker in a rough spot as he doesn’t want to belong to the pack, he only wants Leiah. Will Rikker learn to accept the rest of the pack or will he choose to remain alone?

What really sprung out for me was the dominant alpha, Rikker. His rough demeanor and bad boy behavior really was a turn on. And you could see glimpses of humor too. Leiah was also very strong, at first I thought of her as naïve. I thought she turned a blind eye to the pack that didn’t seem to care much about her. But that wasn’t true at all.

Someone I absolutely disliked was Daryn, who showed up out of nowhere and started commanding and claiming Leiah. That man sure deserves a smack in the face, what a jerk.

I really enjoyed reading Shadow Wolf, it was short wasn’t sappy and Rikker had to work to get his mate. And the heat that was coming from Rikker and Leiah was sizzling. Also nearing the end we got to meet another alpha male, who didn’t want to lead the pack but was ever so strong and would easily be capable of doing so. I am quite curious as to why he hasn’t tried to take over . Why did he choose to follow Leiah? I hope he will get his own story.
