Francesca thought she knew what she wanted in life until one stormy night when she got a blast from the past.

When Randy receives a call at his auto shop one night from a woman whose car has broken down and needs a tow, he never imagined he’d be coming face-to-face with his high school sweetheart. Randy has never loved a woman the way he loved Francesca, but she broke his heart, claiming he could never provide the life she was determined to have. That was years ago, but he’s still bitter about the way she tossed him aside.

Seeing Randy again, Francesca realizes what a mistake it was to breakup with him. She’d like to try to rekindle the old flame, and she can tell he’s still attracted to her too, but every time they’re together, all they do is argue. Can she convince Randy she isn’t the girl he remembers and that she can settle for love even if it comes without money?

Review:

Francesca left Randy the day of their high school graduation. She was brutally honest, and perhaps she should have tempered her words rather than telling him that he wasn’t good enough for her. Now, many years later, she has learned that his love was all that she ever needed, and even penniless, he was the only man she would ever love.

Randy has money to burn, but seeing Francesca again has made him feel restless and unfulfilled. Perhaps a roll in the hay for old time’s sake is what is needed to remind him that he isn’t good enough for her, even if she does want to go slumming for a day or two.

Opposites Attract is a short story that is long enough to have some character development and a plot. The setting is Hot Bods gym, and we see the old friends from the previous books in this series. The sex is steamy, and the romance is just right.

Can Megan let her guard down enough to experience the pleasures Greg has to offer?

As an erotic romance author who has spent hours researching the BDSM lifestyle, Megan thinks she knows all about it. But when she decides to explore it firsthand, she quickly learns that there’s a lot she doesn’t know.

Greg isn’t your typical Dom. He’s an artist, and his life is anything but organized. He likes Megan from the start. She’s honest and he sees something different in her. The more time he spends with her, the more he finds himself acting in ways he never has before. He’s developing feelings for her, and he’s hopeful Megan might be feeling the same way, but every time he tries to get her to open up to him, it seems that she takes a huge step back.

Megan has a hard time expressing herself, a problem that only intensified when her ex criticized her every time she tried to share her feelings. As a result, she learned to bite her tongue and keep her emotions hidden. So when she begins to fall in love with Greg, she isn’t sure how to tell him, or even if she should tell him. But she fears if she doesn’t open up to him soon, she may lose him. Can Megan find the courage she needs before it’s too late?

Review:

Megan is a single woman with a frustrating past. Her ex has made her less than open about her feelings, but as an author, she has no problem putting the words on a page. Now that she has decided to take a leap into the BDSM scene, her biggest worry is that she will disappoint her new Dom.

Greg is an artist. He is not organized, he is not uptight or bossy – except in the playroom in “Dom mode”. He has never been one to mix his Dom/sub relationships with anything of a permanent nature, but after having met Megan, all that has suddenly changed.

Bound by Pleasure is Lacey Wolfe’s first venture into the dark world of BDSM, and it is mild but steamy. Her characters are sexy and lovable, the plot was very realistic, and the sex was yummy – both in the playroom and out of it. I’m looking forward to Dawn and Jay’s story.

Can the sub teach the Dom to play?

Natural submissive Gracie Miller thought she had found her other half in Cade Jameson. Not only did he help her through a difficult time in her life, in the bedroom he brought her more pleasure than she could have ever imagined. They seemed perfect for each other.

Cade knew what he wanted in the bedroom. Gracie brought out his domineering side and ignited his passion. But he feared he was too dominant for this beautiful, naïve girl, who was so young and impressionable, so he ended their relationship.

Two and a half years later, Gracie returns to town a new woman. She had moved to the city and found a “Master” who showed her what she was truly capable of. Now she’s back and wants to show Cade exactly what kind of submissive she could be for him.

But after hearing all that she’s experienced, Cade now wonders if he’s dominant enough to satisfy her. Can he be the man Gracie needs him to be?

Review:

Gracie was devastated when Cade told her to leave and then shut her out of his life. He must not have realized that he was her whole life, her reason for existing. So, as a good submissive does, she followed his order and left. She left his house. She left town. She left the state.  But she left her heart behind with him.

Cade made a mistake. A very bad mistake. He told the woman he loved to leave him…and she did. She vanished. PI’s couldn’t find her, and he had lost hope of her ever returning, when out of the blue, she shows up at his office. And gives herself to him as if she had never been gone.

Make Me Stay is a heartwarming tale of second chances at love, even if that love is a bit unconventional. The plot is moving, the characters are likable and down to earth, and the sex was quite steamy. A very entertaining read.

Has Jane accidentally fallen for the decoy?

Sometimes there is only one thing to do when you get dumped—make the ex jealous with someone new. Which is exactly what Jane plans to do with Ben, an older, handsome man who has agreed to act as her new love interest.

When Ben meets Toby, Jane’s unruly dog, he offers to help her train him. But as Ben helps Jane gain control of her dog, he realizes he’s lost control of his feelings, and he’s beginning to fall for the much younger woman.

Suddenly, Jane can’t seem to remember what she ever saw in her ex. All she can focus on is the way Ben makes her feel each time he kisses her. But now the ex has decided he wants her back, and he’s willing to play dirty to make it happen.

Review:

Jane is not a talker. She is also not great at picking men. She has fallen for a snake who happens to be her boss, and he insists on keeping their relationship private.  As any sane girl would, when her jerk boyfriend dumps her, she finds a better man – with the help of a friend – to make her ex jealous.

Accidental Love is a relatively short story that is entertaining and fun. At times, I wanted to smack Jane for being so immature, but I think she finally wised up in the end.

Can Macy and Jerrod overcome the differences in their age and race to find lasting love?

On Macy Wilson’s first grown-up adventure to the big city, she inadvertently ends up in jail. Her father hires an old college friend, defense attorney Jerrod Preston, to get Macy out of trouble. Jerrod is more than willing to help out his buddy by representing the gorgeous young black woman, but finds he must first battle his intense attraction to her, especially when the judge puts Macy under his protective custody.

Still an innocent at the age of nineteen, Macy ignores the differences in their age and race and sees the opportunity to learn all about sex from the handsome older man. On her second night in his home, a naked midnight rendezvous at the hot tub proves too powerful for either to resist, and Macy is awakened to pleasure like nothing she could have imagined.

But the morning brings feelings of remorse on both their parts. Macy knows her father wouldn’t approve, and Jerrod is convinced Macy should be with someone closer to her own age. They settle into an uneasy platonic relationship, both secretly longing for the love that now seems just beyond their grasp.

Then an unforeseen circumstance raises the stakes, and Macy must make the toughest decision of her life. When she lays claim to the man she can’t forget, will Jerrod send her away, or dare to open his heart to love once more?

Review:

A sweet love story. The nineteen year old Macy falls for her attorney who is also her father’s friend. Despite the age and race difference they still fall head over heels for each other. The age difference is a bit unnerving; Jerrod is almost as old as her dad. And it didn’t help that Jerrod has a daughter who is almost the same age as Macy. That fact also makes you want to keep reading, will things work out for them in the end, will there be a happy end and it what form?

The chemistry between Macy and Jerrod is at some times awkward at other times hot and steamy. The author seemed to have found a perfect balance between the two. Making the character s seem very realistic. I also liked the originality  of the storyline, I have seen this kind of relationship unfold for real  up close. And I have to say that because of this story I understand them and their feelings better.

Sometimes it’s the person you least expect who can satisfy all your desires.

By day Amber’s a librarian, and by night she hides away writing erotic romance novels. She has just one problem—not enough sexual experience to pull from. A recent steamy dream leaves Amber wondering if her neighbor Jax might be just the guy who can help her. He seems almost perfect to use as a sexual guinea pig, especially since she doesn’t have to worry about falling in love with him.

Jax has lived next door to Amber for a year and has tried everything he can think of to get her to notice him, but it hasn’t worked. Until recently. When Amber approaches him asking for his help, he’s ready to jump on board. When he learns exactly what kind of help she needs, he’s definitely willing.

Becoming involved with someone like Jax simply isn’t an option for Amber. He barely works, can’t manage his money, and has no ambition in life. So why does he suddenly seem so right for her?

Content Warning: explicit sex

Review:

Amber’s Muse is a little story with big passion. Amber needs help, and Jax is all too willing to give it to her. The chemistry between these two characters is palpable, and the sex is fiery hot. When Amber tries to take what she wants from Jax while keeping him at arm’s length, he decides to give her a taste of her own medicine.

Ms. Wolfe writes stories with loads of emotion. I wanted to smack Amber for being so self centered and I wanted to hug Jax for being hurt. Amber’s Muse is a great story, very easy to read with good descriptions, seductive dialect and electrifying sex scenes.

Drew is the last person Skylar wanted to see across from her at a local bar. A month ago he’d wined and dined her all weekend, leaving her feeling fully in love, but then she awoke alone in an empty hotel room and she hadn’t heard from him since.

The weekend Drew spent with Skylar was phenomenal. There had never been anyone who made him feel as complete as she did. He shouldn’t have disappeared, he should have called, but his feelings for her scared him, so he distanced himself. But when he saw her again, he knew he couldn’t stay away any longer.

Skylar’s determined not to give Drew another chance to hurt her, but he’s just as determined to win her back. Although it won’t be easy, he’s up to the challenge, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish his goal.

Skylar met the perfect man.  And he left her without a word after a perfect weekend.  Hurt and heartbroken, she is determined to not let one man ruin her outlook on love and dating.  When she sees Drew with another woman a month after his disappearing act, she lets anger replace the hurt.  No way will she let herself be drawn back to the man whose charm is addictive.

Drew realized that he had screwed up.  Big time.  Seeing Skylar turn her back on him and walk away was crushing.  One weekend with her had left him dazed and confused.  Too confused to even call her and explain why he’d left her.  But seeing her again just solidified the knowledge that he had to have her in his life.  Permanently.

A short story about two people fated to be together, Fool Me Once is a sweet romance with some hot sex.  Ms. Wolfe’s characters were realistic, likable and endearing, the plot was one almost everyone can relate to, and the ending was heartwarming.  A very enjoyable read.

After meeting what she thought was the perfect guy for her and spending an amazing weekend together, Skylar woke up alone with Drew promising to call. He didn’t. One month later she bumps into him at a club and they quickly reignite their relationship. But Sky won’t be fooled again, no matter how many happy ever after castles in the air Drew builds. Drew made a stupid mistake, when things got too emotional, he ran for the hills leaving Sky to pick up the pieces. Now he’s realized she is the only woman he wants, forever. He just has to convince Sky to risk her heart one more time.

Fool Me Once is a quick, steamy read. These two characters can’t seem to get enough of each other and Ms. Wolfe knows how to heat up the pages. The relationship is believable, but Sky did seem to forgive too easily. Still a great book you need to read.
