The Stubborn Dead is a new Urban Fantasy-Paranormal story from Natasha Hoar.
So as you know I have a terrible weakness for Urban Fantasy stories; particularly ones with strong female leads and an original storyline. The Stubborn Dead is definitely one book that falls into that category.
Rachel Miller is the main character in the story. She is a medium. In fact she is a member of the Order Of Rescue Mediums, she helps people get rid of spirits. She also happens to be the daughter of the head of the order, no pressure. Through the course of the story Rachel has to dodge Janus, the supernatural crime boss who has the hots for her; and try to figure out what is going on with her current case before her mother has her retired from the order, and retirement is not the happy thing it should be in this case.
The Stubborn Dead is a good story filled with great characters, delightful visuals and a story that flows well.
I cannot wait to see what’s next for Rachel and the Order of Rescue Mediums.
