Review:
If I didn’t know there was a sequel coming out, and if I didn’t already have that sequel in my tablet ready to read, I would be upset at the ending of this story. The first two books in the series led up to this book, which is actually a back story to what has been tip-toed around in the first two installments. I absolutely loved this tragic love story that ended with bruised pride and anger and two people who were meant to be together drifting irreparably apart. I am anxiously chomping at the bit to get the next installment opened and begin reading, so I’ll keep this review short.
Ms. Vane has enthralled this reader with the self destructive qualities of the Lord DeVere. There is only one lady who is capable of taming him, and she is certainly the devil’s match, which just so happens to be the title to the next book. The story does not have a happily ever after ending, nor does it even have a happy for now ending, but instead has a cliffhanger that will have you quickly purchasing the next book. I loved it!
