Finn Rumpelstiltskin is an irresistible rake. Katarina is an unmatched beauty. One might think they would be the perfect pair…and they’d be correct. But Finn has to learn the hard way that beauty is only skin deep, by having his taken away.
Rendezvous with Rumpelstiltskin is a far cry from the original fairy tale I heard as a child, and it perhaps combines pieces of several other favorites such as Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella, but overall it was an entertaining read. I was a little bothered by Katarina’s quick capitulation to the evil warlord’s advances, but I suppose the bad boy persona was too much for her to resist.
