For the last seven years, Brand has only longed to make Elsa his mate. After meeting her when she’s sixteen and having to wait until she’s old enough to claim her, his chance to make her his seems to slip through his fingers. But when the opportunity comes to win her, he acts quickly.

Having to deal with her idiot ex-fiancé, Elsa is more than happy to see Brand arrive to take her ex’s place. She falls hard and fast for Brand, but he comes with a world she doesn’t understand a disturbing world that makes it hard to accept the love Brand offers her, no matter how much she wants to.

Review:

I love this world and enjoy each and every visit to it. This book is just as good as the first one in this series. Marisa Chenery knows how to keep her stories fresh and keeps the reader engaged. As this series has gone on we watch each man find his mate but it seems Brand has kept a secret from the rest. He found his mate but had to wait to claim her. I love Brand he has been a favorite since this series began and it was nice to see him get a chance at his happy ever after. Elsa is a great match for him. She is a strong woman and is more than ready to find her happiness. Seeing the sparks fly between these two was a great read and watching Brand let Elsa decide for herself just where they stood was almost heartbreaking. He loves her so much that he would do anything to make her happy even letting her go. The love that these two share shines through in everything that they do and has the reader cheering for them to find their happy ever after.

Don’t think for a second that Brand and Elsa’s romance is all the story that we get. Readers still get to visit with the rest of the men and their mates. The scene where Garrick refuses to change the baby’s diaper was hilarious. The interaction between all the characters makes the reader feel as if they are visiting family not just random characters in a book. Of course we also have more of the evil werewolves to contend with making this story more of an entertaining read. This book brings the reader into the wondrous world of the warriors and doesn’t let you out go until their story is told and even then you cannot wait to return.
