Review:
Ryver had purchased Theron, a vampire with a magic charm that keeps him subdued. She treats him kindly, but he is still a prisoner in his own body because of the charm. When Ryver hears about some charms failing she has to decide to take Theron back to the store she bought him, or keep him and see how long the charm will keep working. But at night Ryver is in for a sensual surprise when Theron, free from the charm’s powers, gives her a night full of steamy lovemaking. And the night after, but the mages who made the charm’s insist for Theron to be returned. Will Ryver and Theron be able to stay together, or will they be torn apart?
Charmed Lover is the first book in the Caveat Emptor series, in this first book you are introduced to a world where Humans have power over vampires through magic charm’s created by mages. From beginning to end the book captures you, but it does leave you at a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more. At the end I did wonder why the charms started failing, and why a small amount of vampires were to break free from the charm’s power. But that doesn’t affect the storyline or the characters.
