- Where do you hail from and what do you love most about your hometown?
I was born in a wee sea-side town in North Wales called Rhyl, and what I love most about my hometown is the fact that I have family and friends who live there. Seriously. The place used to be a rocking seaside resort town for family summer vacations and weekend trips to the beach. Now it’s a deserted wreck that seems to cater for the drunks and unemployed. Sorry, but Rhyl needs to pull up its big girl pants and quit knocking down its Victorian treasures. Sometimes I like to pretend I’m from Conwy instead. It’s a much prettier town…with a castle, too.
- As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an air-hostess or trolley-dolly as they are more affectionately known by…so I could travel the world. Then I left school and went to Performing Arts College. My dream changed a little. I discovered I could dance and loved it. Yes, I am a creative soul through and through. From then on, I wanted to be a dancer on a cruise ship sailing theCaribbean.

Strange and Beautiful is book one from the Tales from the Coffin series and features smutty and rather twisted tales as told by Estella and Lucy.
For the benefit of those who don’t know who Estella and Lucy are….
Estella is better known as the Vampire Queen of the Rejected due to her major Haversham complex; dumped at the altar, she’s Dracula’s rejected bride. And boy does she harp on it. Still wears her Victorian wedding dress, moth holes and all.
Lucy Rot was a sweet girl who had a rather bad experience with magic. Now she’s a zombie and Estella’s lover and, for lack of a better work, lacky.
Together, they lure the unsuspecting into their dark basement for a fix of darkly erotic twisted tales…and dinner!
Think story within a story. Great expectations mashed with Tales from the Crypt to make Red Shoe Diaries. Estella is the new Elvira. Lucy is the new Igor.
And yes, the series as a whole is working toward a happily ever after.
BLURB, Strange and Beautiful
Estella, Vampire Queen of the Rejected, is sick of men. Or so she would have you think. Ditched at the altar by Dracula himself, she’d rather spend her days with what she now believes to be the more faithful gender. Plagued by a Haversham complex, she gets her kicks by luring prey into her decrepit house with promises of erotic tales…but mind your manners, and fingers, because she bites.
Lucy Rotterdayne—a zombie better known as Lucy Rot—is Estella’s sometimes-faithful subject and lover. Although why she hangs around to be ridiculed and taunted by a bitter vampire, she has no idea. Perhaps the answer is rooted the story of how she was zombified by a doctor who is simply masterful with his hands?

More on the Decadent Publishing 1Night Stand front: Shamrocked, Irish Kisses book two, is set for release late July / early August. And for those who have read my bestseller, Sweet Irish Kiss, I think you’ll be pleased to hear it’s Devlin’s story…
Devlin Kinney is focused on his Irish Rock band, Shamrocked. Between that and tending bar at Bell’s Irish Pub, he’s rushed off his feet. Still, he’s envious of Shaun who found his perfect woman through Madame Eve’s exclusive agency, 1Night Stand. Pushed for time, he follows his friend’s lead and hopes to be matched with a woman ballsy enough to share in his fetish for things that go buzzzz.
At the event of the year for soap stars, Elizabeth Grant meets Devlin and mistakes him for her soon-to-be The EastEnd co-star. Before she has a chance to confess she’s not his 1Night Stand as he seems to think, the silver-tongued smooth dancer proves irresistible. He seems perfect…for one night of pleasure. She’s ready to play the role of her
life!
Will his Irish charm and toys be enough to hold onto his leading lady, or will his heart be shamrocked into next week?
- What advice would you give to writers just starting out?
Twitter is a writer’s best friend.
Angela James (from Carina Press) does #editreport via twitter, and that shouldn’t be missed. Learn what turns an editor on and off in the submission process.
Share your snippets for #sixsunday (ran by author Sara Brookes) and gain feedback plus reading other snippets and commenting helps you home in on what you like and dislike to avoid doing it yourself.
- Who is your favorite author and why?
Currently, I’m enjoying Anne Rainey’s Blackwater series so much. Each new book is pre-ordered as soon as the option is available. And all time, my favorite authors are Virgina Andrews and early Stephen King.
Anne of Green Gables; she made writing sound so…romantic! I related to her ‘head in the clouds’ and stubborn ways. I blame my desire to write romance on Anne.
- What tools do you feel are must-haves for writers?
A good grammar book…and a bloody good editor!!
