Luke Hall is excited to direct his first play for the local arts center, more so when the handsome movie star volunteers to watch rehearsals and offer pointers. Luke would rather watch Parker, but there are interruptions to his viewing pleasure. When a well-meaning friend seeking benefits places doubts in Luke’s head about Parker’s intentions, Luke wonders if their relationship will bomb at the box office.
On and off-stage, Luke and Parker’s passion sizzles. But will Parker dare to act on his feelings for Luke and leave his star behind for good?
Usually when I begin a story, I may be inspired by an event or something I hear on the radio or see on TV. In the case of this story, I drew on memories from watching awards shows and interviews with actors, taking note of how they react to questions and situations. I wanted to present a story where somebody who has achieved fame questions how his lifestyle and career conflict with his principles. Meeting somebody and falling in love, hopefully, will see him through the tough times.
The story is set in Virginia, where I live, and I try to incorporate scenery and senses that I enjoy daily. We have many nice wineries in the area, which I also enjoy 
– so I bring a bit of that into the story. The Oceanfront area also has a supporting role, and I do find it quite inspiring when I write.
