Where do you hail from and what do you love most about your hometown?
- I currently live in the Pacific Northwest; I am very drawn to this area, especially northern Washington. I actually consider home to be wherever I am most at peace at that moment in my life. I feel as thoughbecause I am such afree spirit and can exist (almost) in any town that my nightly dreams actually reside as my hometown.
- As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
- A world traveler, a veterinarian, and a teacher. I used to daydream about finding myself in random places in the world just sitting and watching everyone walk by. I had this walk-in-closet that was located underneath the stairs leading to the top floor attic. In this closet I would hide with all my snoopy dolls, a packed suitcase (that was 1970’sfaded pink), and a map. I never shared my thoughts with anyone in my family. I would just sit there daydreaming of finding my true home and living far far away; eventually I realized that my nightly dreams sent me back home.
- Tell us about your latest book.
- DreamWorkers: Behind the Veil; Night Shift Dreams lifts the veil we have created, no longer letting the veil hang shut. Once we peer behind the veil we find our individual selves seeking out what we have grown to know is the impossible; and in turn find the most amazing happenings manifesting through unconditional love and radiant light. Within this dream state of our physical and mental bodies sleeping, our soul begins to soar to new heights; we are in service to others – or others may be in service to us – guiding each other to exist within our true purpose. My DreamWorkers book is meant to assist others in exploring the many realms our dreams take us through, to shed light on our own personal fears that surround death & dying, to help dreamers find truth behind what is happening within their dream realms, and to reach out to the many dreamers whose existence lies on the thin boundary between waking and dreaming
- Do you have anything new in the works and can you tell us a bit about it?
- Well besides the new release of my book DreamWorkers Behind the Veil; Night Shift Dreams, I am working on a couple of other projects. I am creating a set of Dream Oracle Cards with artist Starr Weems. I am finishing up my second book that will center around all different types of dream guides – there are some fascinating sections on ET’s and vampires in my new book I am writing —along with many visitation dreams from other dreamers, as I explored and unraveled the many different shapes and forms of dream guides. Juicy Stuff! I also have an upcoming online Intuitive Dreaming workshop that centers around my current book. I also have afiction novel idea centered around dreams just sitting in my head waiting for me to put it down on paper…I would like to spend time developing and manifesting this particular story line in 2013.
- Is there anything you find particularly challenging about writing?
- Finding the time to write when I am inspired to write. I homeschool my daughter so this takes up a lot of my time.
- What advice would you give to writers just starting out?
- Just Write. Write about what you know. Write about what you are passionate about. Don’t let you or anyone else discourage you.
- Do you ever suffer from writer’s block? If so, what do you do about it?
- Yes I do. When this happens I either go outside and exercise – cycling, hiking, running, walking – or I pout about it and lay on the couch letting go of my own frustration by watching crappy TV shows to make myself snap out of it.
- What books have most influenced your life?
- For my dreaming self: A Wanderer’s Handbook by Carla LisbethRueckert; Frequency by Penney Pierce; Books by Dolores Cannon; Books about the Arcturians – as I dreamed about a lot of what people end up writing about in the Arcturians Books; Everything by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes
- What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done in the name of research?
- Dream (astral travel) for the questions I was seeking answers to, and speak to spirits and ET’s… I imagine most people may find that weird.
