About Us

A group of dislocated reviewers joining together to give their honest opinions about some good books and some not so good books!

Our Review Team

Brynna – Paranormal romance author and reviewer, Brynna Curry is a life long believer in the importance of reading. She enjoys the writing process and helping others hone their craft whether by reviewing published novels, critquing raw manuscripts or serving as a contest judge. When she isn’t writing, you may find her at the local library or the park with her children. Brynna makes her home in the Deep South with her husband, son, two daughters, and their redbone hound Diablo.

Lupa – I am a thirty something year old Housemom and critter caretaker. I am also a writer, a cat breeder, a rabid reader, a machinist and a business manager. (Yea and they say being a stay at home Mom is easy….) Reading has been a passion of mine since I was a child. In fact I just got a book I read in the 5th grade that I had loaned out and never gotten back, and spent 20 years looking for, from my sister for my birthday. So yea books are a big part of my life LOL.  I have had a passion for vampires and the paranormal since I was a teenager. L.J. Smith’s vampires were among the first that I fell for. I am a fan of Laurell K Hamilton, Yasmine Galenorn, Mary Stanton, and a number of others. I have a large collection of books, and a small house LOL so we have to cycle the books through on the shelves, that cover nearly every genre on the market. Nonfiction to good old fashioned Smut ;) . I love reviewing books because I like getting the word out there about books I have enjoyed. Almost as much as I love finding a review that gets my interest and gets me hooked on a new writer.

Val – My name is Val and I’m addicted to the written word.  I am a proud mom to three daughters, who seem to be the spitting image of myself, although they are ten times smarter than I ever dreamed of being. I received my Associate degrees in Computer Networking and Computer Programming. After 22 years, I have moved back to the place I call my hometown, Las Vegas, Nevada.  This truly is the city that never sleeps.  I am also a hardcore Nascar fan, however I will always be an unapologetic book worm.

Gabrielle – I am a working mother of two boys who share my love of reading and writing. If you don’t find me with a pen and paper in hand or my nose in a book, I can be found out enjoying the outdoors and playing with my boys. I have of many interests from English humor, listening to music, to volunteering at my local wildlife preserve.

Janelle – I’ve always been something of a bibliophile, (okay, fine, I’m a nerd) despite my slight dyslexia. I have a degree in PR/Advertising with a minor in English. My favorite genres are fantasy, paranormal, and mythology. I enjoy plot driven stories — the more complex the better –that are well researched and don’t delve into false drama. My favorite series are Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files, Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark-Hunter series, J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter, Patricia Wrede’s Enchanted Forest Chronicles, and many others. I am working on a few stories of my own, but at this time I am not published.

Jennifer S. – I am an avid reader when the time allows.  I have always been a reader and have enjoyed being a book reviewer.  Most of my time is spent learning to be a good sign language interpreter, mom to 2 boys, and a wife.  I also have an Australian Shepard named Hope, she thinks she’s a person.    I also love to scrapbook and quilt.  I am truly blessed with my life and will always have a book by my side.

Donna - “Donna is a thirty-something CPA with a passion for reading and a love of writing.  She spends every spare moment (between work, chauffeuring her two daughters around, and bed) with a book in her hand or a computer on her lap.  Yes, even standing in line at Starbucks!”

Nerine Halloween 2012Nerine – A multi-published author and editor, Nerine Dorman is still a compulsive reader (after all, it’s what got her into this predicament in the first place). Although she’ll read a wide variety of genres, she prefers fantasy (urban, dark and epic), as well as horror and speculative fiction. Occasionally she’ll dabble in romance, but it’s really got to be of the non-standard sort.
